GB News Home and Security Editor Mark White has criticised Robert Jenrick and Chris Philp following their social media “stunts” in French migrant camps.
Speaking to host Martin Daubney, Mark declared the pair of Tory secretaries have “zero credibility” on the issue of Britain’s migrant crisis.

Delivering his verdict on the social media videos, Mark told GB News: “I honestly think that Chris Philp and Robert Jenrick, they have zero credibility on this issue. They were in Government for years and did little, if anything, to affect the small boat crisis in a positive way in terms of bringing numbers down.
“Not one of these men, when they were in office visited France, as far as I’m aware, to see the operations for themselves and now Robert Jenrick and Chris Philp have been very critical of the French authorities in failing to do anything to stop the small boats from launching.”
Mark added: “There was none of that criticism from either man in office when they were giving the French government half a billion pounds. That wasn’t Labour, that was the Conservatives.”
Asking Mark about his own experience in France and communicating with migrants, commentator Matthew Stadlen questioned him on whether some of the people out there “pose a threat” to Britons.

Mark revealed: “I’ve spoke to many of them on many trips over over the years, and by and large, these are driven young men. You have to be to leave your country and travel thousands of miles through multiple countries. They’re driven and determined young men, but many of them are actually quite damaged, often quite aggressive.
“When you speak to them, they’re certainly very suspicious of who you are, and there is no doubt in my mind that a proportion of them do pose a threat to the general public here in the UK. Not all of them, and many of them want to come for a better life.”
Mark continued: “My sort of overall impression of most of the people I speak to are very few that I would categorise as a refugee. Most I would categorise as people who are leaving behind wretched conditions, dysfunctional governments that want to better their lives.
“But a very significant proportion of them are probably quite damaged, do potentially pose a threat here in the UK, but by no means all of them.”

Delivering his verdict on Mr Philp and Mr Jenrick’s social media videos, Stadlen claimed that it is “easy in opposition” to be “critical” of the Government in power.
Stadlen concluded: “I’ve experienced this when the Tories were in, I would criticise them robustly, politely, month after month, now in very, very loose terms, my lot, certainly the Government that I voted for are in power, and I see the abuse being hurled at them.
“Not that I hurled abuse myself, but I can see how much more difficult of course it is in Government. As for Robert Jenrick, he was described effectively as a Nigel Farage mini-me, and that is the best way to describe that man.
“It’s absolutely ludicrous, these videos, but it’s like a tribute act what he and Chris Philp are up to and as you say, they were in power and look what happened when they were in power.”
