Delap’s Tigers reunion
Liam Rosenior is not the only Chelsea man who is making a return to Humberside tonight.
Many of you may have forgotten, but striker Liam Delap actually spent a season on loan at Hull City when he still played for Manchester City.
Delap bagged eight league goals for the Tigers during the 2023-24 campaign, and his form earned him a permanent move to Ipswich the following season. Guess who his manager was back then? That’s right, Liam Rosenior.
Now look at him, he is leading the line for a Champions League side, and is back under the stewardship of Rosenior again.
The 23-year-old hasn’t quite got going at Chelsea, though, it’s fair to say. He’s struggling to find the back of the net with the regularity that he did at Portman Road and here at the MKM.
But he starts tonight, and it’s a great opportunity for him to get back in the goals.
Will he find the net tonight?
