TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson updated her social media on Monday following the death of her ex, Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Jonsson, 57, hit headlines back in 2002 when news of her affair with the former England football manager broke while he was in a relationship with Nancy Dell’Olio.
Eriksson, 76, died on Monday, with his family releasing a statement to confirm the sad news. The announcement sparked online tributes from those who worked with and knew him.
Dell’Olio is among the many stars this week who have paid tribute to the sportsman, who died following a battle with cancer.
He announced in January he had a year left to live “at best,” which – at the time – spurred Jonsson to share a dig about him on Instagram. In a now-deleted post, she branded him “not a decent person” after he revealed the sad health update.
Unsurprisingly, she seems to have ignored the news of his death and instead took to social media on Monday to celebrate National Dog Day.

The former model frequently shares snaps of her beloved pooches, and sharing a close-up of what seems to be her dog’s behind, she captioned the picture on Monday: “#nationaldogday Every day.”
At the start of the year, as she responded to the news of Eriksson’s terminal cancer diagnosis, she shared a throwback snap of herself and insisted she didn’t “have anything to say about Sven”.
It read: “Look at me being all young all that. So. PSA. I don’t have anything to say about Sven. #nada. Not a decent person.” (sic)
Despite his affair with Jonsson, Eriksson’s partner Dell’Olio stuck by him. But, he had another affair in 2004 with the then Football Association secretary Faria Alam.

Speaking earlier this month about their 16-week affair, Jonsson commented: “This was no great passionate affair.
“It was devoid of passion. He had all this power and money, yet he was the weakest man I have ever met.”
She continued: “I don’t think he had a romantic bone in his body.” The two met during a party held by Tony Blair’s spokesman Alastair Campbell in 2002.
The former weather girl, who at the time was 34, asked Eriksson for his autograph when the then 54-year-old replied in Swedish, asking for her phone number.
The four-month relationship came to an end after the press broke the news to the public, but the presenter claimed the football star left her “high and dry”.
Making remarks about Dell’Olio, Jonsson stated: “She should be grateful for me raising her profile,” reports MailOnline.
“When it hit the headlines Nancy was suddenly famous. And she used that to her advantage. She’d have never been on Strictly Come Dancing if it wasn’t for me.
“He says he was afraid (of leaving her). I’ve never in my life fought over a man. I know Nancy was clinging to Sven, but she really needn’t have worried. He never promised me he would leave her because I never asked him to.”
Meanwhile, Dell’Olio shared a heartfelt post on Monday following the news of Eriksson’s death. Posting a photo of the two of them, she captioned the Instagram post: “It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my ex-partner Sven.
“Though our relationship had its ups and downs, I choose to remember the good times we shared and the moments that brought joy to our lives.
“I will always hold onto those cherished memories and extend my deepest condolences to his family, as well as his beloved children, Lina and Johan.
“When you love someone, that love never truly fades. Rest in peace, Sven. You will be missed.”
