Penny Lancaster alluded to “family issues” as she shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on Tuesday.
Calling for the Royal Family to make peace, Lancaster, 53, argued “life is too short” as she weighed in on the divide of the family, seeming to draw on her personal experience of difficult family dynamics.
Lancaster, who is married to rocker Rod Stewart, 79, made her thoughts clear on the rift between Prince Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royals while on ITV’s Loose Women.
Introducing the topic, Lancaster’s co-star Christine Lampard explained: “Prince Harry’s book Spare is due to come out in paperback soon – but publishers confirm there will be no additional updates.”
Lampard pondered: “Is he holding out an olive branch to his family? Would you like to see them welcomed back into the royal fold?”
Turning to Lancaster, the host questioned: “What do you think – and should they just try to fix it all?”

“For me, I’m not judging one way or the other – you know, do I like Harry, do I think this or that?” Lancaster mused.
“I’m looking at the broader picture really, just about the family. We all have family issues to bear from time to time.
“I think it’s about possibly being able to mend some of those bridges, especially as there have been so many health scares within the family.”
Revealing what she thinks should happen in the future, she added: “It would be lovely for them come back together, life is too short.
The couple tied the knot in 2007, and frequently share sweet updates on their lives together, but TV personality Lancaster does find some elements of life with Stewart “hard”.
While the couple’s displays of affection towards each other are regularly displayed online, Lancaster recently admitted it isn’t all smooth sailing for the A-listers.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, she shared: “It was exciting to go out with someone who was living this extraordinary life. But I quickly realised that I would always be under scrutiny. That was the hard part.”
Speaking to the same publication, she also said in the past about Stewart: “He’s a workaholic and constantly on the move. I struggle to keep up with his training schedule. He works out three or four times a week, even on tour.”

She continued: “We like to take every opportunity to bring the family, children, and grandchildren together.
“Part of the family lives in America, part in England, so it requires a lot of planning, but at least two or three times a year, the whole clan comes together.”
She went on to admit the dynamics of having such a big family can be a struggle, continuing: “There are the usual family ups and downs.
“You have to use a lot of diplomacy, be patient and understanding. In the end, it’s worth it because you experience this wonderful bond that only a family can have.”
