Oasis fans were sent into a frenzy on Tuesday after Noel and Liam Gallagher confirmed they’d be returning to the stage for a reunion tour in 2025.
The brothers, who’ve been at loggerheads for years since the band’s split in 2009, have put their differences aside for a string of date across the UK and Ireland next year.
The band confirmed the news and announced the string of dates on Tuesday morning after they confirmed tickets will go on sale on Saturday, August 31.
Alongside a video package of Oasis’ highlights from their time touring together over the years, the band penned on X: “‘This is it, this is happening’. Tickets on sale this Saturday 31st August (8AM IST /9AM BST).”
The Gallaghers will first reunite at the Cardiff Principality Stadium on July 4 and 5 before performing at Manchester Heaton Park on July 11, 12, 19 and 20.
They’ll then head to Wembley Stadium in London on July 25 and 26 as well as August 2 and 4, before rounding off the tour at Murrayfield in Edinburgh on August 8 and 9, and Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16 and 17.
Needless to say, fans were quick to flood the web with their excited reactions at the prospect of seeing the brothers back together on stage.
However, amid the joy were several who’ve called on the band to implement a rather drastic feature at their shows in order to enhance the gigs.
Several Oasis fans have urged the Gallaghers to ban cameras and camera phones at their shows in an attempt to replicate the delirium that ensued at their 1990s gigs.
Reacting to the tour announcement, one X user kicked off the debate as they penned: “If Oasis are reforming and doing gigs I would them bar anyone under 40 or search and confiscate mobile phones at the door. I don’t want to see an Oasis gig either in person or on tv were every f***er is standing recording it on their phone. That is not Rock n Roll.”

“Oasis should ban mobile phones at the gigs. Do it proper 1995 style. Come on, y’know. #oasis #oasis2025,” a second echoed.
The pleas kept on coming as a third suggested: “Nobody under 40 should be allowed into the oasis gigs. No taking videos on phones… We will be there. Buzzing.”
“No phones policy at the Oasis gigs would be unreal,” a fourth weighed in before a fifth stated: “Be elite if they ban mobile phones from the oasis gigs.”
And a sixth concurred: “If Oasis are reuniting I really hope they ban phones from their gigs. Enjoy the f***ing moment.” (sic)
The topic of banning mobile phones at concerts isn’t a new one with more and more artists adopting the policy for their shows nowadays.
Earlier this year, legendary folk artist Bob Dylan hit headlines for requiring concertgoers to put their phones in sealed bags upon entry to his gigs.

The bags would then only reopen once fans made their way out of the venue.
Oasis hasn’t addressed whether the band will implement the change but did release a short statement to coincide with the tour announcement.
A joint statement read: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
While they’ve only announced UK and Ireland dates, the band’s website claims “plans are underway for OASIS LIVE ’25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year”.
