The Duchess of Edinburgh played with sheep as she stepped out for a royal visit in Somerset.
Prince Edward’s wife, Sophie, joined a Learning Day at Bath & West Showground where she sampled tasty treats and stroked piglets in a pen.
The duchess attended the event, which focused on educating young people about farming and food production, as Patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations.
She appeared in high spirits as she walked around stalls being shown the local region’s best products including ciders and jams.

In one photo, the duchess was seen holding a cow-print cup while in another she listened into a stethoscope wearing a huge smile.
During her visit, Sophie’s natural warmth shone through as she was seen holding hands with young children stroking animals in a pen surrounded by hay.
Later in the day, Sophie travelled to Blagdon in North Somerset to visit the Yeo Valley Farm.
Yeo Valley Organic is the 14th biggest-selling online grocery brand in the UK and the third largest yoghurt brand in the UK.

The Yeo Valley team highlighted different regenerative organic farming projects across Yeo Valley’s farms including mob grazing and agroforestry.
The duchess talked with Sarah Mead, the Head Gardener at Yeo Valley Holt Farm, as they admired a beautiful display of tulips.
For the event, Sophie wore an elegant navy flap-pocket jacket worth £1,369 with a matching skirt and long, brown boots.
She accessorised her outfit with the ‘Lunatic Clutch’ bag from Sophie Habsburg, a designer whom the duchess has worn many times.

To round the look off, the duchess wore her hair in an updo showing off her round gold earrings by Lucia Odescalchi Jewels.
The outing comes just over a week after the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attended the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
The couple represented King Charles at the 120th anniversary celebration parade of the Entente Cordiale.
The Entente Cordiale was the historic diplomatic agreement between Britain and France which laid the groundwork for their collaboration in both world wars.
