Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell’s upcoming routine in Strictly’s Musicals Week has come under fire from a number of fans before the pair have even taken to the dance floor.
After avoiding the dance-off at the expense of Layton Williams and Angela Scanlon in Week 10, Brazier secured his spot in the quarter-finals and a Salsa lies ahead.
Nigel Harman and Katya Jones will take on the Charleston to Mary Poppins tune Step in Time, while Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola will be hoping to top the leaderboard again with a Quickstep to Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Elsewhere, Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe have been given a Foxtrot to perform to For Good from Wicked.
And hoping to avoid the dance-off for the second week in a row, Williams and Nikita Kuzmin will tackle a Paso Doble to Backstage Romance from Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
Brazier and Buswell have been given the Salsa to perform to the classic tune of (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing, but the decision to give the pair the combination of song and dance has irked a number of viewers.

After the Strictly Instagram account announced the full list of songs and dances with its followers, a number took issue with the Dirty Dancing track being used for a whole host of reasons.
The main objections were the fact that Dirty Dancing isn’t classed as a musical along with the fact the tune had been used in previous series.
Taking to the comments of the announcement, one fan surmised: “Love to see some Wicked and Moulin in there!! However, Dirty Dancing is not a musical!!”
While a second fumed: “So bored of Dirty Dancing being used. It’s a rubbish film anyway. Other musicals exist!! I didn’t even consider DD a musical anyway. And Mary Poppins and Beauty and the Beast again too. Come on SCD.”
“Dirty Dancing isn’t technically a musical and I swear that song’s been danced to 2-3 times on Strictly already,” another complained while a fourth simply put: “Eurgh dirty dancing isn’t a musical!”
A fifth echoed: “Dirty dancing again, even the same song. Is it even a musical? So many amazing musical out there are they just recycle the same ones. Shame they don’t expand the choices.”
And a sixth pleaded: “Can we please stop reusing songs/routines that have already been done and give us something from Miss Saigon or literally anything else?!”
However, among the furore were some fans who were eagerly anticipating Brazier’s return to the dance floor including one who weighed in: “Hope Bobby and Dianne do the famous lift!”

And another defended the choice: “There’s a Dirty Dancing Musical, just like there is a Legally Blonde musical.” (sic)
Whether Brazier will still be able to impress the judges with a combination they’re already familiar with remains to be seen as he hopes to avoid a similar fate to Scanlon.
Scanlon was voted to stay in the competition by head judge Shirley Ballas – sparking feud rumours between her and Williams – but it wasn’t enough for her to keep her spot in the contest.
The TV presenter and pro dance partner Carlos Gu have since returned to screens to address the dance-off results, with the latter admitting he feels “robbed” by the verdict.
