Amanda Owen and a few of her nine children made a rare return to TV screens on Monday morning from a snow-covered Ravenseat.
The Yorkshire Dales, like much of the country, has been ravaged by snowfall and plummeting temperatures of late, resulting in school closures, weather warnings and travel alerts.
Ravenseat has been no exception as Owen revealed on Monday that her children remained at home following the Christmas break due to the blankets upon blankets of snow.
The Our Yorkshire Farm star wasn’t only joined unexpectedly by her kids, however, as she revealed there’d been a birth elsewhere on the farm – albeit out of season.
“We’ve had a couple of days of snow and now basically there’s no school but work continues,” Owen said live from a snowy Ravenseat.
Touching upon the new addition to the farm, the mother-of-nine continued: “The children are enjoying themselves and we’ve even got… well it’s either a very early lamb or a very late lamb, we’re not quite sure really but he’s here, isn’t he girls?”

Speaking to This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, the latter was keen to learn as he pointed out lambing season is still months away.
After asking what happened, Owen remarked: “You tell me! One of them obviously knows something but it will be one of those things that will forever remain a secret.
“We’ve got goats, we’ve got sheep, we’ve got cows, we’ve got horses and I’ve got all the children at home so it’s like a bonus day for them.
“I’ve even got a snowboarding one, I’ve got Edith here, she’s the snowboarder, so we’ve been doing work but also having a bit of fun with it as well.”

With the snow pouring down throughout the interview, the ITV presenters were also keen to her how the Our Farm Next Door star and her clan prepares for the frosty conditions.
She explained: “Not only do we watch the BBC weather forecast, we also watch the animals too because they give us a bit of guidance.
“When they’re coming down off the top (of the hills) it usually means there’s a bit of bad weather coming. So when the sheep come closer to home it means there’s some bad weather coming our direction.
“You work with them and what they’re telling you as well. As long as we’ve got feed in and a fire going then we’re all good aren’t we? You just get on it. It’s what winter’s supposed to be.”
With the weather topic of conversation, Owen was quizzed on whether she embraces the cold weather or sees it as a hindrance.
“I guess it’s kind of our modus operandi to almost embrace it and there’s nothing quite like having a hard day and feeling like you’ve achieved something,” she replied, upbeat.
Owen concluded the chat by joking that one of her kids is bound to end up a Winter Olympian due to the antics taking place at the farm.
Shephard was clearly full of admiration for the Our Yorkshire Farm stars, branding them “an extraordinary family” after bidding farewell.

The series, which sees the Owens restore a derelict farmhouse, returns later this year for all-new episodes featuring both Owen and her estranged husband Clive.
