Prince Harry asked his father a heart wrenching question after he was told to leave Frogmore cottage, a new book about the royal couple has claimed.
An upcoming book by Omid Scobie has claimed that Harry used his children as leverage to try and convince the King to let him keep their UK base.
The prince allegedly asked his father: “Don’t you want to see your grandchildren any more?” as he begged to keep the keys to Frogmore cottage.
King Charles ordered Harry and his wife Meghan Markle to leave their Windsor home in March 2023.

The book, entitled Endgame: Inside the Royal Family, will be released next week and takes a “penetrative investigation” into the Royal Family.
However, extracts of the book are being serialised in a French magazine prior to its release.
In one section, Scobie recounts the moment a “shocked” Harry and Meghan were told they needed to hand back the keys to their Winsor home, a wedding gift from the late Queen Elizabeth in 2018.
Harry was allegedly so upset by the news that he told his father that it would be hard for him to maintain contact with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Scobie dubbed the move “a cheap shot from a wounded father bounded by an institutional system that is often intolerant of human emotion”.
The author claims the home was the family’s “only true safe option when visiting the United Kingdom” as the grounds are monitored by armed guards.
It is understood that Endgame has had input from Harry and Meghan’s camp, though Scobie and the royal couple have denied it.
The book has also claimed that it was Princess Anne that persuaded the King to hand Harry and Meghan an eviction notice.
Princess Anne is described as being “at the forefront of the supporters of the firm approach” taken with the Sussexes.
Providing some context, Scobie claimed that after the release of Spare in January 2023 “Charles was cautious”.

He therefore wanted the Royal Family to ignore any statements made by the Duke of Sussex in his book and during the promotional tour.
Out of all the members of the Royal Family, it was Prince Edward who was most concerned with what his nephew might say, according to the royal author.
However, the Princess Royal reportedly took the firmest approach.
Two months after the release of Spare, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that they had been “requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage”.
Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace and Archewell have refused to comment on Omid Scobie’s claims in his upcoming book.
